Jessa Maxwell hat als Journalistin u.a. für The Atlantic und The Washington Post gearbeitet, mehrere Bilderbücher veröffentlicht, und schreibt auch Comics und Graphic Novels. Sie lebt mit ihrem Mann, zwei Katzen und einem großen Hund in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The Golden Spoon ist ihr erster Roman.
