On the enduring power of pacificism
In many countries around the world, all the signs currently point to weapon upgrades. And the majority of Germans fear that the war in Ukraine may spread. But how can we escape this misery?
Currently, almost half of Germans are against further weapon deliveries to conflict zones. However, debates about the pacifist position of “brokering peace without weapons” are often ridiculed as naive and out of touch in the media. Margot Käßmann and Konstantin Wecker are absolutely convinced that non-violence is the only way out of conflict.
