Journalist Helene has always tried to hide her Italian roots. But now she is supposed to report on the culinary heritage of Sicily for a travel and culture magazine and reluctantly travels to the small town of Castelbuono. There she encounters not only all kinds of delicacies and the island's weirdest flat-share community, but also the attractive pasticciere Gaetano, who challenges her convictions.
