Race against crime! Inspector Peer Pedes solves his 2nd case
Seventy thousand people witness a treacherous murder. In the Olympic Stadium, a politician in the VIP tribune is shot by a sniper. Inspector Peer Pedes is in the stadium with his mother, but is not allowed to take over the investigation. His luck changes when DNA traces are found that belong to Marina Gabor, the best marksman of the Berlin SEK. Peer and Marina once trained together in the police sports squad and became close. Now Peer is to prove his colleague's innocence as the Romeo investigator during their joint training. To do so, Peer not only has to tie his running shoes, but also put on his hated swimming trunks and unpack an old bicycle. Because Marina is an enthusiastic triathlete. As further sniper killings rock the city, the boundaries between work and affection continue to dissolve for Peer.
‘Entertaining, exciting, with a good mixture of humour and seriousness. Reading it puts you in a good mood, like a brisk ‘ten’ as a training run in spring. A real pleasure to read.’ Main-Echo on Nur der Tod ist schneller (Only death is faster)
