What should a perfect Advent calendar look like? The one that everybody who loves heartening texts, thoughtfulness, handmade items, creativity, beautiful materials, tasty recipes and good design wants? We would say, just like this! Stephanie Brall and Ann-Kathrin Blohmer have called their phenomenal Advent calendar OPENINGS. It will give a great deal of joy from 1st December until 6th January (Epiphany). The effort that the two of them have put into it knows no bounds. They sew, paint, create, photograph, write and design each and every page with a great love for detail. Incidentally, the recipes are tested on their own families, the children make music and sing – and everything is done with a playful lightness. Each day, the beholder will be surprised by imaginative stories and poems, wonderful recipes and inspiring Advent rituals. And again and again, the duo show how you can make new from old.
