A wake-up call for society
Prof. Dr. med Bert te Wildt and Timo Schiele describe the “burn on” syndrome for the first time. This new form of chronic exhaustion and depression has long since arrived in the heart of society, however, it has barely been noticed in comparison to its famous cousin: burnout. In addition to causes, symptoms and disease progression, te Wildt and Schiele also show societal processes that make the suffering worse and they offer direct help to those impacted.
“Being stressed has long been the accepted norm. Burnout has just become the general state of affairs.” Prof. Dr. med. Bert te Wildt and Timo Schiele
“Burn-on has the potential to be the new disease of civilisation.” WELT AM SONNTAG
