Scented lavender fields, a mysterious manuscript - and a murder
In the sleepy small town of Carpentras in Provence, a young scientist disappears; he had most recently been working on a handwritten manuscript about alchemy in the 17th Century. It allegedly included the recipe for a life-extending elixir - but the men who wrote it, two brothers, ended up in a deadly fight. They are still said to haunt their deserted house today. When shortly after, Commandant Pouffin goes missing, young investigator Lilou Braque must urgently discover the real meaning of the legend of the mysterious manuscript.
