Berlin, 1864: After being wounded in the Danish War, the battle-hardened Major Dirk von Marun is transferred to the police force. He is not particularly welcome there, and he himself had imagined a different future. Nevertheless, the public prosecutor entrusts him with a particularly sensitive investigation: highly sensitive state secrets have been betrayed to the Tsarist Empire. Apart from Otto von Bismarck, only five other gentlemen from the highest circles of society have access.
