Iris Zimmerman has been a single mother for 16 years — the father of Livia, her daughter, died shortly before her birth. Iris tries to protect Livia with all her strength. Livia is a teenager who loves sports and has hopes of participating in the Olympics. However, she appears to be slipping away from Iris bit by bit. When Livia has a serious accident on her bike, her dreams are abruptly shattered and Iris nearly goes to pieces with guilt.
