On the day of Kennedy’s assassination, a delicate job takes Elke Zeisig, Munich’s first female inspector, to the American soldiers’ settlement in Perlacher Forst. The female police inspector had received an anonymous tip-off that the wife of a US sergeant was abusing her foster child. While Elke goes ever deeper into the isolated parallel world of military wives, an African-American GI is stabbed in a flat in Schwabing. Is it a racist attack? Was the dead man involved in drug dealing in a well known jazz club? And what are the military wives hiding?
