Celebrate your 40th in a monastery? Does not sound like much fun, but for the friends Fritz, Juli and Constanze it is a wonderful opportunity to finally spend some time together, without husbands, children and everyday stress. At first, they revive their wild student days, but then little by little it becomes clear that none of the three are truly happy. Their encounter with Nelly, who despite her young years does not have much time left, makes them realise that life is too precious to simply let it pass.
