The new novel by Michaela Grünig is a warm-hearted humorous story about two disparate sisters and their path to happiness and love: Since childhood, the editor Stefanie Lenz has admired her older sister Lily, who definitely got the better draw of the parental gene pool. Lily is beautiful and married to a fabulous man. Stefanie on the other hand often feels overwhelmed by everyday life.
How, for example, do you save yourself from a declaration of love from your new boss without ruining your career? Stefanie appears to have a brilliant idea: she simply says she is a lesbian. Luckily Lily is available as her plus one for the office party. As the publisher’s ‘token lesbian’ things are going well for Stefanie, soon she’s allowed to cover the bestseller author Bernhard Otto. Unfortunately he is surprisingly nice, and then her alibi partner Lily, whose life seems to be in free fall following her husband’s unfaithfulness, drops out.
