A garden is a place - allotments are a scene
It is common knowledge that hobby gardeners don’t mix well with murders in a garden colony. Especially when the crime scene is the flagship allotments in Berlin Pankow and the victim is a respected local politician. Therefore, it is no surprise that Manne Nowak, allotmenteer and ex-policeman, and his partner Caro von Ribbek ask for help. In the perfectly landscaped gardens, the undergrowth is thicker (and darker) than Manne and Caro had expected, instead, the rumours are propagating faster than seedlings. However, there is no weed that can gain the upper hand against Manne’s instinct and Caro’s spontaneity.
“Thousand upon thousand of people garden and argue, sunbath, reap and sew in this city. So it is not at all unlikely that violent crimes will occur.” - Mona Nikolay
