In this debate book, Germany’s youngest management consultant, Philipp Riederle, explains how the digital generation really works: Many companies fear they will have difficulties in finding well qualified junior staff, as the generation that is currently forcing its way onto the market – the so-called mobile phone generation – is considered spoilt and only out to have fun. This is where Philipp Riederle butts in as a mediator between young and old, explaining his contemporaries’ life realities and expectations.
He verifies: We are definitely not a generation of wimps. We are well qualified, very flexible and have enormous innovative potential. We want to design, change and communicate with our peers at eye level. Work has to fit our lives, it has to have a purpose and it must motivate. Under these assumptions, says Philipp Riederle, his generation will really contribute to the company – as the 24 to 30-year olds of today know: The future is ours.
