On his return from his holiday in Denmark Inspector Tjark Wolf is shocked when he is immediately arrested on suspicion of murder. His Danish colleague Anne Madsen, with whom Tjark spent a passionate night at his holiday cottage, has gone missing. Her house is full of blood. The inspector guesses who is behind it all. Recently, Anne had been investigating the case of the “Rune Killer” who murders celebrities and scratches quotations from the Edda into their skin.
