What Keeps Couples Together

Almost everyone dreams of it, many try it, and more than a few fail at it: carrying on a relationship over many years. Why do some succeed at it while others don’t? What are the secrets of long relationships? Love? Force of habit? Tolerance? Or is it just knowing how to act in the right situation: stressed-out women love to have their necks massaged in silence, while tensed-up men need to talk – and ideally to be in the right. In a book that’s as entertaining as it is useful, Werner Bartens tells us what psychology, medicine and behavioral research have found out about longterm relationships. The new book by the bestselling author and »Science Journalist of the Year«.
