Forgiving liberates
Being able to forgive is one of the hardest challenges that we face. In the course of our lives, everyone experiences suffering at the hands of others. Sometimes the resentment is so strong that it threatens to overcome us: the hurt of a broken marriage or the anger at the brother that has done us a terrible wrong. Often, we only notice extreme negative feelings when it is too late: a parent has died and we feel the unresolved conflict that burdens our soul. Inner peace is lost and instead we are moved by anger and resentment.
Best-selling author Margot Käßmann sensitively explains in her new book how we can succeed at forgiving.
“Even when we find it very difficult to forgive: I have experienced again and again, how good it is when it succeeds. It is the only way to be free again!” Margot Käßmann
