A stormy island and a woman searching for her place in life
After a long time, Mira returns to Amrum. This is where her godfather Ocko lived, with whom she used to spend hours collecting driftwood and who told her thousands of stories about it. But now Ocko is dead, and Mira's sister urges her to have his old captain's house torn down. When a storm hits the island and also destroys Ocko's house, a very special piece of driftwood falls into Mira's hands, and she remembers one of Ocko's stories in which she herself played a special role. And suddenly Mira has to ask herself whether this story was more than just a sailor's yarn. Didn't it rather have to do with her own life?
"In powerful images, Thesche Wulff tells of life on the coast and the swell of fate. A gripping family story - very great reading recommendation!" Gisa Pauly
